2009/06/27 Going for a 3d2n short vacation to Macau. Got a very good deal from Airasia at RM200+ for return airticket, but very disappointed with the flight cancellation at last minute without inform. Reach macau at 2pm+ and took a cab to our prebook hotel, Ole-London. unexpected environment of the hotel, a small hotel but quit comfortable. its ok for a good rest. so hungry and go for a quick lunch recomanded by the hotel receptionist. a chicken herd soup mee, i liked it. Without wasting times, we took the Venetian shutter bus near the hotel toward to Taipa, The Venetian City. A great hotel with shopping mall and casino. took the gondola rides, and snack at the "monkey" restaurants. a not so friendly senior staff but the juniors were OK. Spend our dinner at the food street near Taipa, it just about 20mins walk from the Venetian shutter bus station. anyhow we took a cab cause it were rain. got quit some choices, we went for the favours crab porridge and seafood restaurant, not bad...must try... brounght some biscuit at the most famous biscuit shop for friend and family just opposite the restaurant. After the dinner, we went to another new hotel, the Dream City, a highclass hotel and shopping mall but nothing much except a very grand casino, and a grand LCD infront of the casino entrance.. walk back to Venetion, it closed to west wing of Venetian, Got great view of The Venetian's building outlook, took some photos but unfortunately lack of batery. Return to hotel by shutter bus at about 10pm. 2009/06/28 2nd day at Macau. Wakeup after a good sleep in the morning, get ready to walk to Senado square. From Ole-London to Senado Square, it took about half an hour along the main road. Arriving Senado Square, took breakfast at a very famous restaurant next to it. The staff not so friendly, food to me is so so, milk product is ok, ginger milk..i like it. Continue our journey, tropped by the visitors center, took some booklet and there were a short briefing on the histrolical of Senado Square and nearby building. Very useful booklet, can use to guide you for the other histrolical site. Alone the Senado Square, the were many restaurants and shops. can do some shopping. A great place not just for travellers, but for local. If you were not in tight schedule, an ideal place to relax. |
